We had a fun 4th of July! We went to Town Center in Aurora to view the fireworks show. The kids played in the grassy area while we waited for it to get dark. Jeff noticed the sprinklers coming on several hundred feet away and kept an eye on them. About the time we forgot about the sprinklers, we heard squealing from the groups right next to us. Yup... the sprinklers kicked on and started to soak them. I can't believe how quickly everyone packed up their stuff to find a dry spot. We had to move back a bit, but we didn't end up getting too wet. It was actually quite comical! The fireworks show was very good... so good, in fact, that we thought we were seeing the finale at least three times! Mattea did color commentary throughout the show... "PINK! GWEEN! BWUE!" It was pretty funny! The boys kept thinking they were seeing shapes in the fireworks... mostly SpongeBob SquarePants and Crabby Patties. We feel very blessed to have a happy, healthy family. Thanks to everyone who has fought for our freedom.
