A Proud Mommy Moment

So, we were at Wendy's in Ogallala, NE this afternoon on our way back from Iowa. Mattea walked to the trash and threw away her garbage. She noticed someone right behind her, so she held the little swingy door open for them as well. When she got back to the table, I said "That was very nice of you, Mattea." She replied "Well, that's what Dolan's do. We're nice like that." I love her generous spirit... makes me a proud Mommy.

 Participate in a flash or freeze mob.
 Take a ceramics/pottery class.
 Donate blood.
 Make a list of 100 things that make me happy. [in progress]
 Go disc golfing.
 Spend an entire day in my PJ’s doing whatever I want (note: this will NOT include tending to the needs of my family, cooking any meals or generally lifting a finger unless it’s to turn the page in my book).

 Organize a family card or game night with neighborhood families.
 Take my kids geocaching.
 Hike the Incline in Manitou Springs, Colorado.
 Volunteer at a homeless shelter or food pantry.
 Ride a Segway.
 Read “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin. [in progress]
 Submit one of my scrapbook layouts to be published.
 Do a duathlon with Josh.
 Spend New Year’s Eve in a different city.
 Go to Yellowstone National Park for a family vacation. [Family vacation is postponed...won't hit this goal.]
